This book is based on SANS 10100-1 which is an adaption of the British standard BS8110.
SANS 51992-1-1 is the new reinforced concrete design standard (adopted from the Euro standard, and published in March 2025 ), which replaces SANS 10100-1 that is set to be withdrawn by the South African Bureau of Standards (SABS) at the end of 2026 .
